Union printing and controlled campaign production
Political printing is deadline-sensitive and version-sensitive. Our workflow is designed to keep campaign pieces organized from quote through proof, production, mailing, delivery, or pickup.
Union label available
Minuteman Press Chicago is affiliated with the Allied Printing Trades Council of Chicago, Label 600. The union label can be included on eligible printed materials when requested and approved for the project.
Proof before production
Names, ward numbers, election dates, supplied paid-for statements, union-label placement, language versions, mailing panels, and production specifications are reviewed through the proofing process when applicable. The campaign is responsible for supplying and approving legally required content.
| |
Version control
Clearly labeled files help prevent mix-ups between wards, languages, endorsements, mail lists, event dates, and runoff versions. We can quote several versions as one coordinated project.
Local pickup, delivery, and shipping
Pick up at 1249 N. Clybourn Ave., request delivery within the Chicago area, or provide the destination for shipping. Timing and cost depend on the product, quantity, destination, and deadline.

Campaign identity, stationery, petition-related printing, business cards, launch materials, and volunteer supplies.
2) Build visibility
Yard signs, banners, window signs, palm cards, door hangers, apparel, buttons, and event materials.
| |
3) Contact voters
Persuasion mail, targeted literature, endorsement pieces, vote-by-mail reminders, and GOTV materials.
4) Prepare for a runoff

How campaign orders work
Send complete specifications first. Rush availability depends on the product, artwork, quantity, finishing, mailing requirements, and current production schedule.
1) Send specifications
Provide product type, size, quantity, versions, stock or material, finishing, delivery method, and the required in-hand date.
2) Confirm quote and proof
Pricing, production assumptions, deadlines, and proof requirements are confirmed before the order moves into production.
| |
3) Approve and produce
Production begins after the required approval and payment conditions are satisfied. File or specification issues are flagged before production when identified.
4) Mail, deliver, ship, or pick up
Completed materials are prepared for the delivery method confirmed in the order. Mailing schedules must account for production and postal processing.
